The questions below pertain to unlocking items inside Pinnacle Studio applications.  Any questions regarding unlocking items in other Pinnacle Products should be directed at technical support.

What is an Activation Key
An Activation Key is a 25 character (example: LAFSD-EAAAA-AAOQA-OZNHG-VCLFI ) code that enables plug-ins, upgrades or premium content (transitions, titles, sound effects and DVD menus) so that you can use them with your software.

What will happen when I purchase an Activation Key
If you purchase an Activation Key from the computer on which you have the locked content, it will be enabled automatically. If you are purchasing the Activation Key from a different computer, you will need to enter the keys manually inside your software application.

How do I manually enter an Activation Key into my application.
From the Help menu, select "Enter Activation Key".  A dialogue box will appear giving you space to enter up to 11 Activation Keys.

My Activation Key is not working.
If your Activation Keys are not unlocking the content you purchased, you may contact our technical support here.

How do I get new Activation Keys if I move my software to a new computer.
If you re-install your Pinnacle application onto a new PC you will need to manually re-enter your Activation Keys in order to re-enable the premium content you have purchased. If you have not recorded your Activation Keys, you can access them under the Help menu by clicking on "View Activation Keys". Please note, your Activation Keys are stored in the Pinnacle application loaded on your old PC. If you no longer have access to your old PC, please close this window and click on "Regenerate Activation Keys" in the right hand navigation. This will take you to a site that will re-generate your keys for you. Note, you will need your Pinnacle Passport number when accessing this site. You can get your Pinnacle Passport number under the Help menu in your Pinnacle application.
